Why do I need a specialized cleaner for my leather seats?
Saddle soap and conditioners, while good for baseball gloves or boots, are not for use on automotive leather of any kind. The soap contains alkalis, which can permanently damage the material in your seats. Household detergents and cleaners can damage leather as well. Always use a cleaner designed specifically for auto interiors.

Can I use Formula 1 Mr. Leather on suede?
Formula 1 Mr. Leather should NOT be used on open-grain leather, such as suede, nubuck or chamois.
